Notice Regarding Hokkaido and Sapporo City Accommodation Tax (Stays from April 1, 2026)

For stays on or after April 1, 2026, accommodation taxes will be imposed under the Hokkaido and Sapporo City Accommodation Tax Ordinances. Guests will be required to pay the applicable tax based on the room rate.
The tax applies to stays from April 1, 2026, regardless of the booking or payment date. The taxable accommodation fee includes the room-only rate and related service charges, but excludes consumption tax, meals, telephone charges, and other non-accommodation services.
