The Osaka Prefectural Accommodation Tax ordinance will be partially revised for stays on or after September 1, 2025. An accommodation tax will be charged separately according to the room rate.

The revised rules apply to stays from September 1, 2025, regardless of when the reservation was made or paid for.
The taxable accommodation charge includes the room-only rate and room service charge. Consumption tax, meal charges, telephone charges, and fees for services unrelated to accommodation are excluded.
